What the program consist of ?
Screening & Brief Therapy is done though individual counseling sessions with the trained therapist. It runs through 2-3 individual sessions which include screening and assessment as well as a brief therapy. Besides the individual sessions, the participant will also get three psychoeducation sessions, mostly on the disease concept of addiction, its stages and symptoms, treatment and recovery, self help or mutual help programs, etc.
Screening & Brief therapy act as an education program where a participant understands what is addiction and is able to evaluate oneself to prevent further damages. Since the program is implemented on a one to one basis, it helps participants in their early stages of addiction to develop motivation to take care of oneself more responsibly. This works also as a prevention program which can be done through a web platform.
Screening will also throw light on whether a particular client requires primary therapy and in that case, we can provide him a holistic treatment package with detox services too.
